To investigate this trend the programme ranks the stars according to worldwide column inches amassed over the year combined with their BMI to arrive at a top ten list of the famously famished looking.  Using exclusive pap photos and red carpet footage alongside plain speaking talking heads, New Extreme: Skinny Celebrities weighs in with opinions on how the great and the good from La-La land and beyond have fared this year. 

New Extreme: Skinny Celebrities features pop pixie Cheryl Cole, the return of a slimmed down Britney, Kelly Osbourne who lost weight Dancing with the Stars, Amy Winehouse, a dangerously thin LiLo, super thin Scarlett and amazing mum Nicole Richie.  The programme also looks at how Jessica Simpson succumbed to the heartbreak diet after being dumped on her birthday by her NFL beau and OC starlet Mischa Barton ballooned before being sectioned and blamed it on her wisdom teeth.  And then there’s Posh Spice.  With her new fashion range her appearance at London Fashion Week where she rubbed shoulder with bony shoulder with the super models, she has out-skinnied the best of them.
